Post No. 1
Project Assistant I: 02 Posts
Qualifications: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) with 55% marks

Post No. 2
Project Assistant I: 03 Posts
Qualifications: B.Sc. with min. 55% with chemistry as one of the subjects

Remuneration: Rs. 8,000/- pm (consolidated)
Age: Maximum 25 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rule.

Post No. 3
Project Assistant Level II: 01 post
Qualifications: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 55%.

Post No. 4
Project JRF/ Project Assistant Level II: 03 posts
Qualifications: M. Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 55% for level II, for Project JRF M. Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 55% & NET-LS/ GATE is required.

Post No. 5
Project Assistant Level II: 03 posts
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology with minimum 55%.

General Conditions:-

Remuneration: Rs. 12000/- pm (consolidated) for Project Assistant Level II & for Project JRF (NET-LS/GATE): Rs.14000/- pm.

Age: Maximum 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rule.

Duration of project: Initial appointment is for one year and then it will be renewed annually depending upon the tenure of the project and subject to satisfactory performance.

Job description:
Applications invited from young, enthusiastic and dynamic candidates to join the scientific and engineering teams and actively involve themselves and pursue in globally challenging projects of CSIR-CSMCRI.

For post No. 1 & 3
Candidates with exposure to fabrication of solar thermal gadgets preferred & Candidates with hands on knowledge on Ansys CFD analysis of solar gadgets preferred. Development of solar thermal conversion technologies mainly for the recovery of fresh water from brines under XIIth Five year plan CSIR – CSMCRI project entitled “High purity salt and recovery of valuable metal ions from marine resources (HPSMC) – CSC 0203”

 

For Post No. 2 & 4
Metal ion extraction, chemical analysis and pilot plant operation, Chemical analysis (1), instrument operation (1), and data recording and secretarial job (1). Computational studies to design dye-sensitized solar cells, (ii) Computational studies on the morphology of ionic solids.

Post No. 2 under K-Ten Project entitled “Potassic (K) fertiliser Technology to Empower the Nation (CSC 0105)”.

In post No. 4 one post is under XIIth Five year plan CSIR – CSMCRI project entitled “High purity salt and recovery of valuable metal ions from marine resources (HPSMC) – CSC 0203”.

One is under the project entitled “A Multi-Scale Simulation and Modeling Approach to Designing Smart Functional Materials for use in Energy, Electrochemistry and Bio-mimetics (MSM) CSC 0129” & other is in project K-Ten Project “Potassic (K) fertilizer Technology to Empower the Nation” (CSC 0105)”.

For Post No. 5
One post is under the project entitled “Characterization of Phycoerythrin from marine algae for assigning their functional characteristics to structural variation (OLP 0040).” One post is under the K-Ten Project entitled “Potassic (K) fertilizer Technology to Empower the Nation (CSC 0105)” and one post is under project entitled “Characterization of carotenoids and non-polar lipids from the microalgae for their applications in different areas (OLP 0071)”.
The selected candidate should have experience in the field of isolation of halophilic microorganisms from saline environments. He/ She would be expected to isolate various bacterial strains and characterize them on a molecular level with 16s rRNA sequencing.

Interested candidates are requested to appear before the Selection Committee for written / interview on 20th July 2015 at 9.00 am in this Institute.
