Eligibility Criteria for SSC GD Constable 2026
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria as on January 1, 2026.
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized Board/University.
2. Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age (General/EWS): 23 years
Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-01-2003 and not later than 01-01-2008.

SSC GD Selection Process
The SSC GD Constable selection process involves four main stages:
Computer-Based Examination (CBE): An online test with multiple-choice questions.
Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying in nature, to check physical standards and endurance.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME): To ensure candidates meet the specified medical standards.
Document Verification (DV): Checking all original documents.
The final selection list is based strictly on the marks obtained in the Computer-Based Examination (CBE).
